Can't Decide What to Order? A Simple Way to Choose at the Juice Counter
By Panjtan Juice ยท Published November 2026
It happens to almost everyone. You walk into the juice shop with a clear plan โ "just a juice" โ and then you see the board: fresh juices, a dozen milkshakes, falooda, ice cream, soup, parcel packs. Suddenly the simple plan is gone, and you are standing at the counter reading the menu for the third time while the queue grows behind you. There is nothing wrong with that; a good menu should make choosing hard. But there is a faster way. Ask yourself three quick questions, and the right drink usually picks itself.
Question One: Light or Filling?
This is the question that cuts the menu in half. If you want something light and refreshing โ a drink, not a meal โ go straight to the fresh juices: Apple (Rs 400), Orange (Rs 400), Carrot (Rs 300) or Pomegranate (Rs 500), all pressed to order. If you are hungry, or this drink is standing in for a snack, go the other way: a milkshake, a falooda or a scoop of ice cream. A Banana Milkshake (Rs 250) is the lightest of the filling options; a Special Falooda (Rs 300) is the most complete, almost a small meal in a glass. Most people know the answer to this question before they finish asking it โ trust that first instinct.
Question Two: Fruit or Milk?
If you picked the light side, the next question is about flavour. Do you want the clean, bright taste of fruit, or the smooth, creamy comfort of milk? Fruit means juice โ pick the fruit you are in the mood for and you are done. Milk means a shake: Strawberry, Badam, Pista, Chocolate, Mango or Chiku (Rs 300 each), or the Banana Khajur (Rs 280) if you want something a little richer. If you are torn between the two, the middle ground exists: a milkshake with ice cream (Rs 350) has the creaminess of milk with the flavour of fruit, and the Fruit Jelly Ice Cream (Rs 350) sits happily between a drink and a dessert. There is no wrong answer here โ only the flavour you feel like today.
Question Three: Now or Later?
The last question is about timing. Are you drinking it here, right now, or taking it home? Juices and shakes are best enjoyed fresh, within minutes of being made โ that is why we make everything to order. But if you are buying for later, think differently: ice cream travels well, and our parcel packs (half litre Rs 500, 1 litre Rs 900) are made for exactly that โ a family dessert waiting in the freezer. A falooda, on the other hand, is a here-and-now pleasure; it does not wait well, so order it when you can sit and enjoy it. Knowing when you will drink it saves you from ordering the right drink at the wrong time.
The Shortcuts Regulars Use
- First time here? Order a Mango Milkshake (Rs 300) or a Special Falooda (Rs 300) โ the two things we are known for.
- Hot day, very thirsty? Fresh orange or carrot juice โ light, cold and quick.
- Ordering for kids? Banana or strawberry shake โ sweet, familiar and easy to finish.
- Cold evening? Special Soup (Rs 200) โ warm, light and comforting.
- Still stuck? Ask the counter. Tell us what you like and we will suggest one โ it is the most-asked question in the shop, and we enjoy answering it.
There Is No Wrong Order
Here is the honest secret behind this whole guide: at a juice shop with fresh fruit and real milk, almost every choice is a good one. The menu is not a test, and nobody at the counter is judging your order. The three questions just get you to the glass faster so you can spend your time enjoying it instead of choosing it. And if you do pick the "wrong" thing โ if the shake was too sweet or the juice too tart โ remember it, and try the other one next time. That is how regulars are made: one glass at a time, until the choice stops being a decision and becomes a habit. Come and try it at Panjtan Juice on Barma Road, Hazara Town โ we open at 8 AM daily โ or message us on WhatsApp at 0329 0386551 and we will help you choose before you even arrive.
