Meet the Milkshake Family: 24 Shakes, From Banana Khajur to Majon

Twenty-four names on one board can slow a person down. Regulars do not even look any more — they have their shake, the way other people have their chai order — but if you are newer to our counter, the milkshake list at Panjtan Juice can look like a crowd. In truth it is a family with four branches, and once you see the branches, choosing takes ten seconds. Here is the whole clan, introduced properly, with prices, so your next order is an easy one.

Branch One: The Everyday Classics (Rs 250–300)

These are the shakes that built the counter's reputation — fruit, milk, blended thick. The family patriarch is plain Banana (Rs 250), our best-value glass: ripe bananas blended smooth, naturally sweet, endlessly dependable. Around it sits the Rs 300 row: Strawberry (pink, fruity, a children's favourite that adults keep "tasting"), Mango in season (the summer rush in a glass), Pineapple (tangy against the cream), Chiku (sapodilla's caramel-malt sweetness), Chocolate, Vanilla, Blueberry and Cocktail — the cheerful mixer that combines fruits and never tastes quite the same twice. Two grown-up members deserve a mention: Cold Coffee (Rs 300), for people who want their caffeine iced and creamy, and the nut pair Badam and Pista (Rs 300 each), almond and pistachio blended into rich, traditional shakes.

Branch Two: The Date Shakes (Rs 280–300)

Quetta loves khajur, and this branch of the family runs on dates. Banana Khajur (Rs 280) is the star — banana and dates together, naturally sweet with no need for added sugar, thick enough to stand in for a light breakfast on a rushed morning. Beside it: plain Khajur (Rs 300), dates in the lead role; Banana Chiko (Rs 300), a soft, mellow pairing of banana and sapodilla; and Khorma Badami (Rs 300), the old-school combination of khorma and almonds. These are the shakes of winter evenings, of guests being honoured, and of anyone who wants sweetness that tastes like it came from fruit — because it did.

Branch Three: The Majon Range (Rs 350)

Ask at the counter what majon is and you will start an argument of the friendly kind; our guide to the majon range tells the full story. In short: majon shakes are blended denser and richer than the everyday row — built to fill, not just to refresh. There are three: Majon Badam, Majon Pista and Mango Majon, each Rs 350. Order one when a regular shake feels like a snack and you want it to behave like a small meal — after a long day, for a growing teenager, or whenever "just a shake" is not going to be enough.

Branch Four: With Ice Cream (Rs 350)

The celebration branch: four favourite shakes crowned with a scoop of ice cream, so the glass is a drink and a dessert at the same time — Chocolate with Ice Cream, Blueberry with Ice Cream, Pineapple with Ice Cream and Mango with Ice Cream, all Rs 350. Sharing this branch's spirit is the Oreo Shake (Rs 350): crushed Oreo blended through the shake, cookies-and-cream in every sip, and possibly the most photographed glass we serve.

So, Which One Is Yours?

  • First visit, no risks: Banana (Rs 250) or Mango in season (Rs 300).
  • Something filling and natural: Banana Khajur (Rs 280) — the best value-to-fullness ratio on the board.
  • Properly hungry: any Majon (Rs 350).
  • Dessert mood: a with-ice-cream shake or the Oreo (Rs 350).
  • Traditional tastes: Badam, Pista or Khorma Badami (Rs 300).

And if you want to build the skill at home before judging ours, our home milkshake method gives away the shop's ratios and tricks freely. We are not worried. The blender at home rarely has twenty-four flavours waiting — ours does.

A Word on How They Are Made

Whichever branch you choose, the method behind the counter does not change: your shake is blended after you order it, never poured from a jug made in the morning. Fruit is cut fresh, the milk is cold, and the blending stops the moment the shake pours in a thick ribbon — over-blending is the enemy of thickness, as our home guide explains. A shake that waits is a shake that melts, separates and disappoints, and in twenty-four flavours there is no reason to serve you one that has waited.

🥤 Every price in this guide is the counter price — the full board with all 24 shakes is on our menu, and the same list sits in our WhatsApp catalogue for ordering ahead.
